54:23 I think Josh was referring to the Barney Good Clean Fun Season 4 one of my favorite episode as a kid, never knew they had a tough time going through that popcorn scene glad they finished the scene.
Keone was also great in the game Ghost of Tsushima as Kotal Kahne.
That eyeball story is fantastic!
38:29 BHAHAHA “G-give me the microphone”
I knew why it ended abruptly after 3rd season… the 3rd season was a f*cking train wreck. I’ve recommended the series to many people… but I always tell them… “watch two seasons and then for the love of God STOP.” Of course they never listen… but every time they reach out to apologize and tell me I was exactly right… and they regretted watching the third season. But to this day I have no idea HOW it happened… what went so wrong. But obviously no… it couldn’t continue.
This is awesome thank you for posting. Lots of insider knowledge!
They even cut about 40 minutes out ? Grrrr. Then, indeed, yes, give us a directors cut / extended version, so we at least get to see that as well !
yeah, Deadwood's language is so musical
Man! Hearing "Dan" and "Wu" talk without their accents is just crazy!!
I have never herd Kellen swear like that it was haleryus
Respectfully, Arthur Burghardt came across as pretty unprofessional here.
HBO wanted to put their money on John from Cincinnati which was god awful and the worst move in HBO ever made. Deadwood was and is a classic
I worked in the Prop Department on seasons 2 and 3. Just before the movie was set to start filming I went to see Jim Beaver act in a play at a small theater. Before the curtain rose in walked Dayton Callie and Garret Dilahunt, so we huddled up and talked about our days on the series and being excited about the movie about to happen. I asked Garret if he was going to be in it and he said “ Oh I don’t see how I could be. I’ve been two characters already.” I replied “Garret, I bet that if you just showed up on set to say hi, David will put you in there somewhere.” He shrugged his shoulders and smiled. Looks like he visited the set, and when I watched the movie I let out a scream when seeing him in the show.
Wu was my favorite character by far. His subtle arch was underrated.
This happens to more people than one would think, even outside the film industry. You could be doing great work, efficient, and smooth with no problems making money for your employer. Invariably someone, usually in management, will come along and blow it all to pieces.
I watched Barney When I was little girl my favorite song is I love you ❤
On a film a few years ago I asked one of the actors from John From Cincinnati about Milch. He said Milch had the ability within a few minutes of meeting you to understand what makes you tick. He said within 30 minutes of meeting Milch he was a convert and would have done anything to work with him. He also said once they started shooting it was a crazy set where everyone was confused but he still was a convert.
Keone's grandchildren run around his yard shouting Mr. Wu's "San Francisco" catchphrase at the top of their lungs whilst intermittently giggling uncontrollably !
Fantastic writing and great cast
8:50 !!!!! Fr stop it hypocrites. And yes thank you Luci 10:13
Hang Dai! The Wu and Al scenes and relationship were next level. Could not have worked without those two actors.
Sooo Milch let the show die rather than make a deal for 2 movies or 2 1/2 seasons.. then ultimately conceded to 1 movie 15 years later… i respect the guy enormously but I think it’s safe to say the stubbornness and hubris of his characters is a reflection of his own. Also, unpopular opinion: after rewatching season 3, I don’t think it needed more than 1 more season. It’s the weakest of the 3 seasons… some great moments, but the whole acting troupe plot.. i fast forwarded through most of as i had 15 years ago. I wonder if Milch actually had a long term idea for the show that required more than that; or if he just didn’t want to be told what to do and when to end it. Brilliant writer though
37:49 Oh, stop! You’re gonna make me blush. 😊😊
And he's a gorgeous daddy! WOOF!
I swear, if he voices Starscream in the Knightverse I am going to go wild
I'd love to see him voice Optimus Prime in something in the future. His Rockstar Freddy voice is oddly fitting for Prime.
Arthur 2 On The Rocks starring Dudley Moore was made into a motion picture as well
11:03
this a makes me so happy ❤
I guess Keone never watched Veep.
did anyone figure out who finn wolf hard was? 😭
30:30 has me starting to tear up again.. We're gonna miss your shining light Jason David Frank :'(
The guy with the Klingon question obviously never saw the great John Colicos in "Errand Of Mercy" from the original series.
Miyagi do should've trained the 5 year old to take on Kreese in the All Valley tournament. Just FYI; the dog that saved summer also had Martin Kove. And to add on to what Kove said; the writers also openly listen to the kid actors. In fact for season 5 the actress of Sam asked the writers to change how the relationship between her and Miguel was handled because she thought in the original script had the relationship feel rushed when they got back together. The writers feel that they want the kids input because they want it to reflect an accurate portrayal of what happens in real life. So if the kids feel something is made up then they can openly say hay this feels wrong and the writers correct it.
Ezri Dax was a lot of fun, and i liked her a lot. BUT. I would have taken another season with Jadzia over Ezri any day. I miss Action-Barbie.
Terry always seems so sweet and wonderful that I think anyone who considers her replaceable isn't to smart as they think they are. When true beauty crosses your path in any format you respect it and nurture it and all of its wonderful glory. Pass it along 🙂
the voice of charlie brown peter robbins is dead good grief
Quark is also my favorite.
This was awesome
That you for the absolute clear, direct mic audio and not some phone, big room sound footage.
This is awesome thank u
I was surprised but I actually agree with the guy at 34:00, DaDa is much better than an album with such a name has any right to be. xD
Really nice kid. My sister had a crush on him from The Phantom Tollbooth.
Wu was every bit Al's equal as far as being a boss goes. Wu was the only one that could make Al smile and it was wonderful when we saw it.
The moderator did an amazing job here. There were a couple of spots where the fan questions touched on sensitive topics and things could've gotten very awkward, but the moderator navigated through those expertly and kept everybody feeling comfortable. Well done. Also, I love how passionate Armin is about the show and the work they all did on it. I know sometimes it seems like he has a chip on his shoulder about the way the show was treated, but it's only because he cares so deeply about the work.
Rest In Peace Billy
Excellent interview God bless you Alice.
